Gynaecology and Obstetrics

This department caters all major, conventional surgeries and also offers a full range of endoscopic surgeries (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy). Fluoroscopy of fallopian tubes and mammography service are also available. Our supporting Paediatric Department is equipped with hi-tech neonatal ventilators. Babies as small as 26 weeks, are successfully delivered and survived. Epidural analgesia and antenatal/intranatal/fetal monitoring are available round the clock. Our gynaecologists are available to each and every patient without any distinction to keep mother and baby healthy. Gynaecological examination is quite intimate, more so than a routine physical exam. It also requires unique instrumentation such as the speculum. The speculum consists of two hinged blades of concave metal or plastic which are used to retract the tissues of the vagina and permit examination of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus located within the upper portion of the vagina. Gynaecologists typically do a bimanual pelvic examination (one hand on the abdomen and one or two fingers in the vagina) to palpate the cervix, uterus, ovaries and bony pelvis. THQ Hospital Dunyapur offers a full range of routine care, as well as procedural and technological interventions are also available to empower women with the wellness they deserve to enjoy each rich phase of their lives.
