IT and Statistical department was established at as a part of Government of the Punjab initiative to digitize and empower hospitals for centralized reporting in efficient and prompt manner. IT department is playing a pivotal role in this information age. From Biometric Attendance and Roster Management to Prescription Management Information System (PMIS), there are numerous portals running under IT Cell. These portals include almost all departments of the hospital and every process is linked with IT one way or the other. The Health department has the vision to make all the facilities IT enabled and our department is progressing according it gradually.
Aims and Objectives
The prime objectives of the department are listed below:

- Patient Referral and Descendent Management
- Medicine and Equipment Inventory
- Citizen Feedback Monitoring System (CFMS)
- Complaint Management System
- Equipment Management System
- MLC Web Portal
- TB Control Web Portal
- Hospital's Website
- NCD Web Portal
- ISA Android Mobile Application
- Beside these portals, Control Room for CCTV surveillance is also working under IT Department
- Handling/managing multi-media and conference room
- Training of different web-portals and mobile applications to the concerned staff
- Troubleshooting networking and internet related issues
- IT Department is also generating statistical reports
- IT Department is doing data analysis and generating employees' KPI
- At the end of every month, a comprehensive statistical report is generated by IT Department for District Health Information System (DHIS)
